Our Aircraft Images in Shuttleworth Collection Shop

Bill and I spent lots of happy hours making aircraft images last year at Old Warden, Duxford and Woburn.
This was a new experience for me as it took me out of my (perceived) comfort zone... however, as I teach repeatedly, as long as the basic techniques are used well, the subject matter can be varied, so, applying the skills I normally use to photograph airborne birds, I set about exploring the world of aircrafts!
Imagine my surprise and delight when I realised I actually enjoyed this!
Monster created, I couldn't get enough of the subject and explored and experimented with the images until I was familiar with the shapes and speed - in just the same way as I familiarise myself with my feathered subjects.
Bill uses Nikon camera gear, and those who know me will be aware that I am a confirmed Canon-ite, so when I spent the day shooting with the D800E it was another new challenge...
I shot the Sea Hurricane photo using this camera... full frame technology enabled the image to be printed in large format and this was the first image to be given this treatment. I then switched back to my familiar friends and shot the Sopwith Pup and the Avro Edwardian beauty that joined the Hurricane in Large format.
Bill and I are really pleased to announce that these three aircraft images are now part of the Shuttleworth Collection shop display and for sale in the shop.
I am now hooked on aircraft as a subject and will be spending more time this year adding to our collection of 'Cloud-Busting' images.
